What’s Happening in Gaza

The conditions in Gaza have remained difficult since 2007, when the Israelis imposed a blockade of the territory, severely restricting the movement of people and goods and devastatingly impacting the economy. As a result, over 60% of the population lives in poverty, and the unemployment rate is over 40%. Right now, Gaza is under attack, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,300 Palestinians and 13 Israelis.
